David,
So….you are categorically stating that there were no cases within the
last two years in Texas where people were turned away from hospital
emergency rooms for reasons other than the capacity was exceeded? That
never happens anywhere anymore?
Can you be a little more specific as to the federal law which prohibits
that practice by hospitals?
Regards, Dave
David,
I guess my indignation got the better of me. You see, I have to see those
patients in the ER when I'm on call. I have no choice in the matter. They
know better than to show up at the county hospital when they can go to the
uptown private hospital for "free." I guess I don't know what goes on in
Texas, just Nevada.
I'll get out my Federal Register and look up the specifics of COBRA and the
Medical Quality Assurrance Act. (UGHH!) When I get a chance I'll upload
you the specifics.
David
