All – I'm passing this along for a friend who is not on CompuServe: "TITLE: CLtd non-autoboot controller help I had bunches of problems trying to update to 2.0 with my A500 and CLtd non-autobooting (pre-Kronos) controller. I'm running SCSIdos_3.0, and the system has been solid under 1.2 and 1.3. With 2.0 it was flaky at best and infuriating at the worst. Can anyone help me with their experiences in successfully updating to 2.0 with a similar setup? Can anyone tell me the name and address of the hardware type that still provides CLtd support? Thanks in advance." ————-I believe that some of this may have been discussed recently here, but I didn't save the thread. He is about ready to give up and sell his 2.0 enhancer kit, and eventually get a 3000. Jeff Schweiger

Jeff, He'll probably have to rePrep and re-foramt his drive(s). There's a new version of FFS and it's in ROM under 2.04. That's a GUESS, I don't have (nor would I care to have) and C.Ltd stuff. Don

I gave up on Kronos after the V2 wb upgrade script moved the mountlist and caused my Kronos to not autoboot anymore. Ron

I did it on an A1000. I had to make a 2.0 boot disk with scsidos on it as well as a 'kickit' disk. Bootup was as follows…. 1. 1.3 kickstart disk 2. kickit disk copies rom image file into first 1/2 meg ram and reboots. 3. 2.0 scsidos disk boots up HD with 2.0 files installed. HarryM
