I am trying to decide on a spreadsheet to use with my Amiga. I had
considered Superplan, but if its manual is so bad as needing "to be
re-written as well" then maybe I should reconsider. Any other suggested?

Sorry, even if wasn't paid not to recommend other spreadsheets, I don't
know of any. Anyone else?

A few weeks ago, people here were discussing a new spreadsheet – I think
from Gold Disk – and were saying very nice things about it. I know of a
new one that will be coming out soon, but it is not yet completed, and then
there will be the necessary time to get it ready for market, so if you need
one right away, you probably could not wait for it. I suspect it will be
excellent.

I bought Superplan about a year and a half ago. It has some execllent
formatting capabilities, but I had to stop using it because it does not use
the Amiga file system well. It was very difficult to access spreadsheets
which were stored in different directories. It did not work well with my
printer. And there has been an almost glacal response here concerning any
support. Kind of a shame, because with some work, it could have been quite
nice.

I agree on all counts. My workaround for the first point was to use Khalid
Aldoseri's file requester and its "file injector" feature: bring up the FR,
find the *.spp file I needed, and "inject" that into SP's equivalent of the
command line. And for printing, I just print to disk, and edit in
TurboText.
Clumsy, butr it works. What I WANT is "SuperPlan Professional 4" <grin>
