>>> "Each release will create a DXF file that is compatible with preceding releases…" This is a bit misleading. There are differences in the drawing header, so even if you have a Release 11 drawing with a single line in it, you will get an error when you try to DXFIN in Release 10. Release 11 c2 contains the program DXFIX to strip a R11 DXF file down to R10. Yes, I knew you knew that, and that you gnu that I gnu that.

Yea ! Dave, I Gnu that you Gnu that both you and I knew that. The file has to be translated, but I thought that I had said that………(didn't I??) I just spent two miserable days re-initializing my hard drive. The freekin' drivers insisted on putting the boot partition in the middle of the drive and DOS complained bitterly about that. Finally, by using a combination of FDISK, PARTED and a few other utilities, I got the boot partition on the end of the drive and it now works again. It's amazing just how antsey a client can get when the machine doesn't work. Now about these threats that I've been receiving from the Silver Surfer. Maybe we better watch out for Merry Gari, the *NIX sysop……..<grin>.
