I screwed up the thread, so hang on. Again, a zillion thanx for the
knock-out effort you put into trying to get me to see the light about
calling in a lisp routine from within another. Basically, the answer you
gave was the same as Tony's & a couple of other's. Unfortunately, for me
at least, I was left at third base every inning.
The winning lotto goes to Rusty Gesner from New Rider's Publishing (I think
it's a magazine). Rusty writes, "Try this: (C:CHT)". Don't you hate guys
like that? Well, it worked, turning my life around. I'm shaving again,
doing my own shopping, & decided not to renew my membership in the
Euthanasia Society.
I do appreciate your 2 messages & will keep them & try them out if anything
herein related goes awry. I think maybe your suggestions work on a (defun
cht, with no C:, maybe. I'll keep you posted.

You will find that C:CHTEXT works the same as with CHTEXT.
Just substitute (C:CHTEXT) for (CHTEXT) throughout.
Now I know what your question *was*. I obviously missed the start of the
thread and have been going off at a tangent ever since.
New Riders Publishers are book publishers, who specialise in computer
titles. I *think* they are part of Macmillan who are (were?) owned by
Maxwell. If you want to know who Rusty Gestner is, buy Maximising AutoCAD
volumes one and two, the best books on customising AutoCAD available today!
