#PC-BLUE ROM_DISC
5 messages in this thread
Have received discs. Can not access programs on PC-BLUE disc and presume it
is because you forgot to send the floopy disk. Could you please send this
as soon as possible? Is there A floppy disk that is needed for The World
Fact Book? Can you advise afiew pointers on how to access the data?
Thanks in advance
Bill

There was no floppy with the PC Blue disc, if I recall correctly (I could
be wrong — but I did look for a floppy and can't find one). One just goes
into the directories on the CD-ROM and copies over to floppy or hard disk.
On the World Fact book you definitely don't need a floopy (except for the
MAC version) you just run the .EXE file and follow the prompts. I found
it to be easy to use and one of the better discs around — the only problem
was that the information is not really detailed enough.

Inside the cover of PC-BLUE it instructs you how to use the "Floppy Disc"
to access programs. I have tried accessing these programs direct and can
not find any means for doing this without the program on the floppy disc. I
sent you a brand new $495 CD-Rom disc and I think it only fair that you
supply me with a working disc in return – complete with any required
program. If you do not have the flopy disc for PC-BLUE then I think you
should send me the other program disc you have in exchange. I have been
able to access the CIA disc without difficulty.

Hi Bill,
Sorry for the mix-up/mistake. What version of PC-Blue is it? I can't find
the floppy but the place that sold it to me said if I needed it they would
send me the floppy if I told them what version it was.
Or I could send you Software Du Jour, Microsoft Programming Library, or
ALDE's Public Domain/Shareware Disc if you want to send back the PC-Blue
Disc.
Glad to hear that the CIA disc is running fine. The Languages of the World
disc you sent me is also running fine, but it's a memory hog. I sure hope
you got it as part of a package deal when you bought you CD-ROM drive
because $495 would be very expensive.
Appreciate your prompt reply and hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. I will
return the PC-BLUE. Please send me the ALDE'S PD disc.
