I have a orchid fahrenheit 1280 and I am trying to run animator pro in 640 x 480. The drivers shipped with animator do not work for me. I tryed using a file I downloaded from orchid –rev1.exe, which seemed to work ok at first, but when I run a flic in 640 x 480, the image doesnt fill the screen. Is their anyone with a solution for me? I need to present a "high-res" animation for a client very soon. HELP!!!

Scott- Suggest you buy a Tseng ET4000 type board. There are LOTS of them around, they're real cheap, and everything supports them. The Tseng VESA driver that comes with AniPRO works very well. It seems the trouble with S3 type boards (so I hear) is that the people that make the S3 chip are not very good about drivers and expect everyone to write their own drivers. This may or may not be true but whether it is or not, there aren't very many drivers around for S3 based boards except for Windows drivers. I haven't even been able to find a VESA driver. After finding out that I can't use Acad r12, 3D Studio, Anipro, Fractint, or various and sundry other programs with it, I pulled out my Fahrenheit and went back to my trusty Pro II/s. My $300.00 Fahrenheit board is now for sale. CHEAP!!!

Scott, the reason that the flic didn't fill up the screen is that you loaded a 320×200 flic. Therefore the driver you are using is fine. If you would like a better driver (ie higher resolution), get in touch with Panacea (800) 729 7420 or Vibrant Graphics at (800) 937 1711. Yann Bertaud – Product Support, Autodesk.
