A simple question. I am using an ATI Graphics Ultra card which does not yet have a new V2.0 driver yet. Has anybody had any luck using ACAD 8514 Drivers for 3ds? I originally thought that an ADI driver was an ADI driver no matter where it came from. But I have tried an R12 ADI driver in 3ds without much luck. ATI is issuing a new driver soon but I was hoping a patch might be available. p.s. The Graphics Ultra does not like VESA configurations.

Michael- I'm pretty sure that both Vibrant Graphics' (Soft Engine) and Panacea's (DLD-383) drivers support 3DS 2.0. In the case of Soft Engine, I'm positive. I'll get you phone numbers if you'd like.

Get the Vibrant Graphics Drivers, They work EXCELLENT on the ATI Graphics Ultra. You will experience almost real-time wireframe previews in the Keyframer! -MM

Michael, In addition to Vibrant Graphics (Soft Engine) and Panacea, Vermont Microsystems' AutoMate/PRO software will also support 3DS 2.0. Contact VMI at 800 354 0055 for more info. Regards, Russ [VMI]
