All,
does anyone know if the TBCIV card can create avi files. I currently have the
dps par and am looking for a card to digitize video. I am planning on getting
the TBCIV card anyhow but i will also need to create avi files occassionaly.

The TBC card from DPS will grab directly to the PAR from there you could
export sequential TARGA's or you could get a program called RazorPro form
IN:SYNC. RazorPro will read directly from the PAR and convert to a number of
different formats including *.AVI's. IN:SYNC also has a program called Razor
and this program will convert sequential TARGA's to *.AVI's. If you own a PAR
you will want RazorPro it has proven to be a great NLE for all of your
animations. I hope this will answer your questions.

if you add the new VX upgrade chip, you can use the PAR for very fast .avi
creation. You'll need some software to do it. RazorPro does it (plus a lot
more), plus I believe DPS will be releasing a simple PAR to AVI utility with
the next major PAR software that will do this.

RAZOR PRO can convert ANI files to AVI, TGAs, BMPs, FLCs,
or FLIs.
