Thank you, Ken, for your offer. I don't have the final drawing yet, but I
think the preliminary I saw was 1"=100' over about 25"x30" with approx 100'
change in elevation. I'd like to be able to do this from scratch myself,
but I don't have a tablet over 12" and I am a little overbooked right now
(…sleep, my kingdom for some sleep…). Anyway, as a perpetual student
of life myself, I believe in supporting your local student! I love it when
people try to do something to improve themselves – keep 'em off the streets
and out of politics. <G>
I will holler at you when I get the final drawing – maybe FEDEX a copy to
you for an quote.
Anyhow, I'm typing from the beautiful hills of East Tennessee (Oak Ridge)
where I morph and render and write software in front of a big picture
window looking out over the woods. Birds, squirrels, & autumn leaves – what
a life! Where are you and your ATC?

PS. Know anyone who wants a Hitachi 1111 tablet with 12 button cursor for
cheap or trade? When I got Anipro, I bought a Summa with a stylus for
drawing. The Hitachi seems to be much higher quality but I couldn't find a
stylus for it.

Yes, the possibility for my students to get their hands on an actual
project is valuable. We always run out of stuff, so we end up recycling
projects every year. I'll look forward to hearing from you when you have
more details.
Besides managing the ATC here, I teach in a 2-year program of Civil
Technology. Certainly keeps me busy. Just returned from a 4-day Multimedia
training session, all charged up and ready to start training 3DS. Neat
stuff, huh? I've been using it for about 8 months now… I'm at :

Having driven the Blue Ridge Parkway several times, I'm familiar with your
area (I grew up in Maryland). Very pretty area indeed. We lost all our
leaves weeks ago, so it's ugly here. I'm off to Boulder CO this weekend for
a week of training in ArcCAD. It's snowing there…
If you find a buyer for your Hitachi 1111 tablet, let me know. I've got
another one collecting dust on my desk. My portable computer pretty much
converted me to a mouse user, so I haven't used it in years.
