I just installed Flicker Free Video II in my 2000 and I am having a problem. The screen on my 1950 wants to keep creeping to the right, until it is all the way over. I can adjust it back to the left, then it creeps all the way to the left again. Is this a problem with the 1950 (please tell me it is just an adjustment, Please!), or does anyone know of any other reason why it would do this. I have a 2002 hooked up to the rgb port, and it is perfectly stable. Once the screen is over to the right, it becomes fairly stable, but the one inch black margin on the left is not acceptable. …Cruising on AutoPilot from Northern Indiana… Branden Beachy 72557,107

Branden, My guess would be the 1950. (Mine went south about 5 months ago – wouldn't sync at 31.5 KHz, and was a bit jumpy at 15.75 KHz.) If you have access to a VGA monitor, you might try it just to make certain. David

Branden, I'm using the MicroWay flickerFixer and a CBM 1950 monitor. When I first hooked them up, I also had the border and it drove me crazy. I called MicroWay and they said it was the 1950 monitor and not the FF. I called Commodore and spoke to a tech. He called my local Amiga service center and suggested some fixes. I went through the trouble of bringing the 1950 to the service center, but he couldn't get rid of the border. I was told that the border was caused by the 1950 and not the FF. In any event, I changed my Prefs screen centering setting on the boot partition of my hard drive. It gets rid of the border and everything's normally fine. However, when I boot from a floppy, mostly for copy-protected games, the screen still shifts to the right, and I still find it tremendously annoying, but I don't have a fix for it. Dom: I'm using 2.04, and after a quick look (Gotta get to church!) I can't find the screen centering thingamajig in the preferences section. Are you using 2.04? How do I change it? …Cruising on AutoPilot from Notre Dame country… Branden Beachy 72557,107

Branden, Yes, I'm also using 2.04. To change the screen centering, double-click on the Overscan icon inside the Prefs Window. Then click on "Edit Standard Overscan" from the requester. Good luck, Dom Fontana <– Sent from New York via AutoPilot –>
