GO CEFORUM here on CIS and check out section 10, Misc. Electronics. That's
where the X10 people hang out. Lots of good sources for X10 hardware info
there although it's mostly an MS-DOS crowd as you'd expect.
The latest version of the terminal program, VLT, includes a macro for
control of an X10 interface. VLT is available here. — Art

I can use X10.LHA (here in the libs, thanks to Chris) to _control_ my X10
devices, but I want to be able to _PROGRAM_ the CP2990 controller from my
Amiga. Are you aware of any Amiga software that will do this? I suppose I
could get the MAC s/w and do it from AMAX, but I'd much prefer an Amiga
s/w solution.

Doesn't the X10.lha program allow you to program the Powermaster? I
thought that it did. I haven't looked at it in a while, maybe I should. I
use something called PM (Powermaster) it was marketed by this chap:

I don't know if he still sells the software or not, but it has an ARexx
port and I use it program my Powermaster controller. Sorry I don't have a
phone number, but your enterprising enough to attempt to track it down.

PowerMaster Program Notes
The following are features not listed in the documentation:
SLEEP (right-Amiga-z):
Under the PROJECT menu, this selection suspends the X-10 serial
connection (which allows other serial peripherals to access the
serial port), closes the PowerMaster screen, and presents an
X-10 icon/window on the workbench. To reactivate PowerMaster,
just click within the window.
AREXX Macro:
Under the AREXX menu, this selection will display a file requester
which list all files with ".rexx" or ".pmrx" as an extension. YOU
MUST HAVE THE AREXX SERVER FOR THIS OPTION.
PowerMaster supports ARexx with the following commands:

readfile:
savefile:
reprogram:
print:
add:
freeze:
unfreeze:
change:
remove:
now:
sleep:
exit:

Hi Michael,
I've got a piece of PD software that allows you to program controller from
the Amiga. Works just fine but takes a little getting used to the
interface. Its called X10.cntl by Stephen L. Childress. I think I got it
from PLINK (R.I.P). ANyway, I'll LHARC it and send it up to the board.

Have you tried the Ami-X10 program? It works OK under 1.3, but I've never
tried it under 2.04. (It didn't support the A2232 driver and I stopped
using it before I upgraded to 2.0.)

David… no, I haven't seen AMI-X10… si it in the libs here someplace
hiding from me? If not, do you know where I can get it?

That's from the disk, and about all the information I have on it. I
haven't gotten any X10 things set up since my recent move, so I'm not in a
position to try it out at the moment.

and supports other serial device drivers and unit numbers.

Not yet. If I do hear anything, I'll post it. You might want to take a
look at the file that became available in lib 12: X10CTL.LHA. I personally
don't like the user interface, but it does allow you to program the
CP290.
