#Adaptec AHA1510
6 messages in this thread
Does anyone know where I can get a driver for the Adaptec AHA1510 scsi host
adapter? I've been sent the AHA-1540 software, but this doesn't let me
specify the I/O ports that the older adapter supports (140h or 340h).
You might try the COREL forum.
I'll do that now….!

The Adaptec ASPI2DOS.SYS file allows you to make these changes by adding
the /p140 and /qxx options. The /p140 option is used to tell the driver
when you've changed the I/O port from it's default of 340 to 140 (via the
AL jumper…). The /qxx option is used to inform the driver when you've
changed the IRQ from it's default of 11 to one of the other choices (9
through 12)… just replace the xx with the new IRQ number. If you're
looking for additional SCSI drivers (CD-ROM, Optical WORM, MO, or
rewritable, hard drive, tape drive, jukebox, or removable hard drive) drop
by the Corel forum (GO COREL) and I'll fill you in regarding our drivers!

Thanks Bryan – that's useful.
THe thing is though that it's the Netware 3.11 driver that I need to use
rather than the DOS driver.
The AHA1540.DSK driver doesn't support the port addresses used by the
AHA1510 (140h & 340h) so I can't get to use it!

Sorry, didn't know you were referring to Novell. The Adaptec 1510 card is
not supported under Novell 3.11.
