Skip, There are two ways that you can go (neither of them are wonderful, and the second one is *very* roundabout). 1. Get a copy of Post, and rasterize the EPS file (add a "showpage" command at the end, using a text editor). Make the bitmap huge…this works best with line art, really. Screens get ugly. 2. Get a copy of Aladdin 4D. Besides being a pretty wonderful 3D package, it will import EPS files, and export clips. This should do what you want to do, but Aladdin is a pretty expensive conversion utility 🙂 Jonathan, via AutoPilot // Only Amiga makes \\// it possible…

Jonathan, I thought about getting Post. In fact, I had an older version somewhere but never used it. Maybe I'll give it a shot. I'd love to get Aladdin 4D, though. And just might once I get back on my feet down here. No job and very little business hasn't helped lately. So I suppose I'll go with the cheaper alternative:-). Thanks very much for the info. Skip

I know for sure Adpro supports EPS files and I imagine so does Imagemaster tho I've never really had occasion to check MIDGARD GRAPHICS

Imagemaster does NOT support EPS files at this time. –Ben …via AutoPilot

Neither ImageMaster nor ADPro will import EPS, although the export side should be trivial and available.

OOOPS,I thought you guys did have EPS suport,Thats one area I never use IM for…..Printing…..I always use Adpro to print pics on my Laserjett II MIDGARD GRAPHICS

Are you really sure about that? I have an older version that I bought used and it won't do it. I DO have ImageMaster but it's at version 9.10 I think so maybe the newest versions import EPS files. I guess I should upgrade<g>. Thanks, though. Skip

Stylus sells two programs: ProVector and PSImport. ProVector is their drawing program, and PSImport is a module for ProVector. You need both. You can load an EPS file into ProVector with the PSImport module and it will be converted to a normal structured drawing. Then you can save the file out as a IFF DR2D drawing for use in any standard Amiga application. I tested PSImport with some Art Expression output (in Art Expression's native EPS format) and it came in fine. I then saved it back out as DR2D. (Art Expression can also save DR2D but I just wanted to test it.) PSImport did choke on some Illustrator 88 EPS files I gave it tho. Art Expression can also import Adobe Illustrator 88 EPS files and save them out in Art Expression EPS, IFF DR2D or convert them to IFF ILBM bitmaps (like a screenshot basically). Michael Soft-Logik

Thanks for the information Michael. I'll keep it in mind. I've been waiting to see how Art Expression is recieved before I order it. I've been using ProDraw/ProPage but I'm not crazy about proDraw. So maybe I'll be get Art Expression. Skip

Art Expression is extremely close to shipping. We're just waiting for the manuals to come back from the printer. Everything is either here, or at the printer now. We don't want to give a date, but it should definitely ship before the end of the month. Michael
