Thank you for the info, you read all sort of different things on the subject of speed and naturally a company is going to say this and that about their drives. I will check out the mags though !! thanks Carmen

Carmen: Funny you should ask! I am preparing to blast off on a new program I just learned about, but here's a sneak prview: If you are working in an MSDOS/MPC environment, you need a disc called the MPC Wizard from Aris Entertainment (310/821-0234). I contains drivers for a multitude of VGA monitors and a variety of sound cards PLUS some standard benchmarking programs for measuring avg seek time, data transfer rate, etc. And some vendors have apparently been surprised! This disc costs all of $14.95 (plus shipping I'm sure), and may well help answer your questions! Rich Bowers

type Aris has a title called Wizard Ware that does the benchmarks, as well as carries some neat graphics and sound all for $25. We have them on stock. Frank Harris Computron, Ltd.
