Bix: Sorry to hear you're having difficulty. It sounds as if you have downloaded the file OK, now it's a matter of reading it. The file format is straight ASCII, with a carriage return at the end of each line. I wouldn't be surprised if your printer wasn't printing another CR at the end of each line, rather than printing every other line. The best way to read such files is to open them in your usual text editor – Word, WordPerfect, whatever – and then let that program deal with formatting the text for printing. The line length is 6", which is about 72 chars per inch. I have never tried to print anything from CIM, so I can't comment on how (well) it works. Hope this helps. Rich Bowers

Rich, thanks…I'm new to this and retrieving the file in WordPerfect for Windows worked like a breeze. The printing was better and everything. The article's great, especially with every line printed. Thanks for the help and the informative article. Bix
