Dick, I found an article on Z39.50. It is: Lynch, Clifford A. "Information Retrieval as a Network Application" in Library Hi Tech, V. 8, No. 4, pp. 57-72, 1990. BTW, ANSI Z39.50 standard is for an information retrieval and service protocol. I had confused it with the bibliographic record standard. Does this help? Phil

Thanks. I have the spec, but you've just entered a new variable <g>. What's "Library Hi Tech"? Assuming it's a mag, can you give me subscription info? Dick.

Dick, I can get you a name and address of the publisher on Friday when (and if) I go to the office. Your best bet though if you want it in a hurry is to go to a local public or university library. Phil

Dick: Library Hi Tech and related pubs are published by Pieirian Press in Ann Arbor MI, 313/434-5530. You might also be interested in the BIBLIO.TXT file in Lib #14. It is an annotated bibliography of nearly 100 pubs, with publishers contact data. Best – Rich Bowers
