#Published Photo CD's
3 messages in this thread
I'm impressed by all the enthusiasm and questions that are being brought up
about KODAK's Photo CD. As a publisher of photographic images on compact
disc DIGITAL ZONE Inc., has in the past year marketed 4 separate disks
using JPEG compression technology but with the anticipated excitement and
marketing efforts of a giant like KODAK we at DIGITAL ZONE are now
publishing all of or new and past photographic images using the now and
future established KODAK compression method YCC. We believe this is the
wave of the future and will be an automatic choice for consumers and
professionals.
Our first KODAK Photo CD is a sampler album of Internationally acclaimed
stock photographer Wolfgang Kaehler. We had 50 images scanned at KODALUX in
Los Angles and using an Apple 300 CD player accessed the images with the
KODAK accessing software everything worked perfectly and then using both
COLORSTUDIO and PHOTOSHOP and KODAK's plug-in's Photo CD Acquire v6.0,
Chrome Look 6.6 we were able to access the images from wallet size up to
the poster size (2048 X 3072) with wonderful results. The Macintosh used
was a CX with 20 megs of ram, a 50 Mhz excellarator and a 1.3 Gig drive.
All our images were originally/chrome slides then all our images were
placed into our new color brochure and output to separations. The images
are to say the least beautiful. We used Ready Set Go 5.0 as the page layout
program because of its abilities to create custom grids on the fly for
quick design.
If you'd like to see our New brochure of images scanned by KODAK drop us a
line (e-mail) with your address. The first mailing is expected December 1st
a must see for anyone interested in the quality of KODAK's Photo CD image
quality published and a need for stock images.
Cheers
