HAPPY Thanksgiving Y'All !!
Forget the recession and have a great time…Please drink lots of good
French wine before the tradewar starts, this will keep my suppliers
happy!
Just one thing though….. don't eat too much, if you do you might not fit
back under your desk….
A question from an ignorant Brit, do you give pressies at Thanksgiving or
wait for Christmas, or both ?
Have a good holiday,
Best wishes from a very wet and windy London.
Andrew.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Andrew. You know, I really think we ought
to share Thanksgiving with you people in England. It's such a *nice*
holiday.
No presents at Thanksgiving – too close to Christmas. Besides, we are
supposed to be giving thanks for what we already have, rather than
acquiring new things.

A little late, but Happy Thanksgiving to you too 🙂
I'm having my own Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday … turkey, stuffing,
sprouts, potatoes and sweet potatoes … with pecan pie to follow 🙂
I like the concept of Thanksgiving much more, in a way, than Christmas …
there's no giving of presents and it's a truly family affair.
Maybe we should introduce such a celebration here in the UK … or, maybe
not as someone would just go try and commercialise it.
As for the French wine, I thought the import levy was not now going to be
made since the GATT talks had made progress and come to some broad
agreements.
Mike (from the UK)
Mike,
I hope your dinner went well….. my Wife makes a wicked Pecan pie,
hmmmmm…
I can't see Thanksgiving working in the UK some how. Imagine the hype and
the arguments and all the shops getting into trouble for opening on
Thanksgiving day etc etc… I think we should stick to Christmas, I just
wish it would snow every Christmas day…
Andrew.
