#New 3.0 Demo Pic

I just uploaded a new demo picture rendered with Imagine 3.0. The
file took only a few minutes to create from scratch. The logo
consists of Postscript Type 1 fonts imported into the Spline Editor
and extruded and beveled. The font is textured with the new metal
shader (chrome and gold). The gaseous swirl behind it was created by
applying the new Gas Giant texture to a flat disk. Best of all
rendering at 640×480 took only 4 1/2-minutes on a 486/33 with 16MB of

It's called Gas.jpg and is in Lib 4 of AmigaVendor –Rick
Thanks Rick. I will look for it. I'm thinking of upgrading my old Imagine
1.0 to 3.0.

The leap from 1.0 to 2.0 was large enough. Going from 1.0 to 3.0 will
represent as dramatic a change as Turbo Silver to Imagine! –Rick
I just haven't had the time to spend learning enough about Imagine to
really get going but I plan to put more effort into it this winter. I
assume 3.0 (AMiga) supports my FC24.
