I'm considering using a Hardframe to connect my external CD-ROM to a 4000/030. Will the hardframe work in a 4000/030 (don't see why not), and where can I get the 25-pin cable to go from the header on the hardframe to an external bracket. Does Microbotics offer this connector? –Sheldon

Sheldon: I would advise *against* using an HF in the A4000. The limited address range of HF's DMA (Zorro II space) will give you a problem.

Well, Sheldon: I wouldn't wanna get you into trouble just to save face on the network. HF was designed long before the Z3 bus and quite naturally can't accomodate it. Sure you could use programmed I/O at the system level to transfer from hf to memory and then to file but that's very slow. HF was specifically designed for that Z2 machine and really doesn't want to live in that Z3 bus. –Redmond
