Then, you shouldn't be wondering why it's taken me so long to
answer! This is the first time I've been able to get on CI$ in
weeks! And I fully expect someone to call and knock me off the line
any moment.
Sheila is 1 month old today. I feel about 2 years older!
Strange… time has changed. Even though individual days (and
NIGHTS!) have lasted FOREVER, this month has FLOWN by!

Well, at least you're hanging in there! Stephanie is going on 7
weeks. She has become a new person! She doesn't cry (as much) and
sleeps 8 hours at a time. I've been told when they reach 10 pounds,
dramatic changes start happening (for the better!)
Go on, now and get some sleep! 🙂

So, Greg, how have you managed to survive the first few weeks? Have you got a
good supply of toothpicks to prop your eyes open with?

Enjoy the peace while it lasts! When they get to about 2 years old (with
some it starts at around 1.5 years) they seem to learn the meaning of NO,
and tell it to you as often as possible. The "terrible 2's" also usually
last about 2 years! 🙂 by the time they get to be 5 they start to be
little people, and their personalities start to come out. My daughter is
6-1/2 going on 25 I think! She takes forever getting ready to go to
school, and gets upset if her hair isn't just right! I'm told that as they
get older and bigger so do their problems, but I hope that's not the case.

I know I've got a lot ahead of me (about 20 years). Luckily, I have
brothers and sisters with older kids. So I have a lot of experience to
tap.

I was figuring on about 30 years… Then my sister had to
point out that my brother is still a problem for my parents…and
he's 50 years old!
You just never know!
My daughter is 7 weeks old now. She and her momma have gone
off to visit relatives. I haven't seen them for a week and won't see
them for another week…all I have for company is the cat (who just
came wandering in the room). I'm certainly enjoying the chance to
sleep. But I find it's kind of lonely. My daughter will be different
when I see her again. A strange feeling…

Just had my girlfriend's son move in!
We thought he'd be better off with his dad…appearently not…

Look on the brite side, it's easier to kick a 14 year old's ass out
the house. Babies are too cute, it's a genetic defense mechanism. We
practiced with a dog, at least you can take them back to the Pound.
The Pound doesn't accept babies anymore, maybe 14 year olds though.
Well, hopefully we'll be able to wait 'til he's 18 to kick his butt out
the door but, I don't think one of those cute little babies is in my
future (sob??) so, maybe I should be handing out cigars? (I checked with
the pound, nope, not 14 year olds).

It's only been a few weeks now and my bravery is running low. The kid is
not a hoodlum but, damnit (I usually put some ** in those) he's still a
teenager! It's definitely more difficult than I thought! Although, I did
not have any blinders on going into this, I know what I was like! I wasn't
a real 'blem but, now I know how much my parents worried that I perhaps
was…thanks for the positive(?) input. I hope I can live up to it.

Hey Robert,
My wife goes to this "Beyond Baby Basics" Class. She comes back
saying that we are so lucky. Some parents are forced to have their
baby in bed with them, even at several months old! Our Stephanie
sleeps the full night, going to bed between 8:00 and 11:00 and waking
around 6:00/6:30. I get to bring her to mom for feeding and change
her diaper. This morning was the messiest diaper yet! She ate more
than ever yesterday. She is 10 weeks old Tuesday, and is talking in
run-on sentences, although only she knows what she is saying!

Sheila is 11 weeks old (yesterday) and is sleeping thru the night…
GREAT!!!
Unfortunately, Mamma just went back to work this week (for the first
time in three months!) and we've had to send our daughter to someone ELSE
during the day…It's HARD letting someone else raise our child!!! Maybe it's
time to move out of California and find somewhere with a reasonable cost of
living.
Isn't it incredible how much food those little bodies can put away!?
All the smiles and laughs…kinda makes it all worth while, doesn't it? At
least for now…I keep hearing stories about when they reach <fill in the
blank> years old…
I've probably only got a little while longer before the incredible
eating machine wakes up again so I had better get on with it!

Hi Robert,
I'm glad to hear your little Sheila is doing fine. It's wonderful to
get a full night's sleep (again!) My wife elected to stay home and, get
this, sell Tupperware. She's real excited and expects to exceed my income,
which has been very little lately (a lot of receivables, but no cash).
Stephanie is sucking down six ounces at a time, now. She's also poops
the entire rainbow of colors! I think there are more colors there than my
Firecracker board can display!

living.>> HOOO-BOY! You should get some responses with that one! Actually,
the cost of living might drop, relative to the normal increases, due to
the mass exodus of industry out of the state. I want to move to New Mexico
as soon as I can do it. My sister and mom live about an hour South and
East of Santa Fe, near the Jemez Pueblo. A most beautiful area!
I think its great that you and I take an active interest in our
daughters. A lot of dads run out of the house with the first whimper, and
they refuse to change diapers! (can you believe it?!?). Take care, Robert,
