lightwave anims on A1200

I want to know if it is possible to play lightwave 3D animations on an
A1200. If yes what program is needed?
Ed,
No it isn't possible to play LightWave generated 4000-type anims on a
1200.

Do you mean just to play a anim someone made with LW? For example one
d/l'ed from a BBS? If so, use Viewtek or View.
Or do you want to MAKE a anim with LW to play on a A1200?

I have an A2000 with a toaster 4000 board. I also have a A1200 with
plenty of RAM and speed. If I render an animation on my 200 and tell
the toaster to save it as a lightwave anim can I play it back on a
A1200? I don't want to use another program to compile the animation
because this takes time. I'd rather single frame it than wait for the
conversion to anim because eventually I will have to Single frame it
anyyway to my VCR.

No. LightWave only saves anims in its own anim format so unless someone
makes a player for it you won't be able to play them outside of LW.

I know what you mean about things taking too much time but you could
run a program like Rend24 in the background and convert the images as
they are rendered.
No, you can't play the Lightwave anims *Directly* on the A1200. You
could take the framestores or RGB frames and use ADPro to convert
them to IFFs and then compile them into a playable anim7.
ADPro claims that it will convert and compile the anim directly but I
would not be able to verify that because I havn't ever been able to
make it work right.
AnimWorkshop looked really good at AmigaWorld. Rend24 is a shareware
program that will compile IFFs into anims. This months AW has a very
good article by Erik Flom on how to make good anims. Nice article
Erik!!
By the way, did you ever get your oil bottle? How much was it?
That's just it I don't want to wait for all that conversion process
because I think that it will take more time than single framing. I
have not upgraded to the latest ADpro yet so I cannot convert my
framestores through ADpro. Yes I got it done by Nate and he gave me a
good price and fast service. I think I will try to do all my modeling
jobs thru compuserve because its alot faster and I can get samples
before the final objects is done.
