#summagraphics and Apro

I have some kind of conflict between Animator Pro and my summasketch
III tablet. It works, but every minute or so (more often when I use
the draw or lassoo tools) it locks up, and I have to hit the Print
Screen key a bunch of times until it unlocks. AA support said there
should be a specific driver contained with my summasketch, but I
couldn't find it. Does anybody know which driver may remedy this
problem?
Someone else may be able to help with your problem, but until you get
it fixed, instead of hitting the print screen key, just turn the
tablet off and then back on. This _should_ onlock it, and might be
easier than hitting that prt scrn key repeatedly! BTW if you don't
get an answer this time, I would encourage you to re-post your
message. Good luck,
O.K. That probably would be easier. Hopefully I'll find the magic
answer so I won't have to do either!
Summa is now participating in CIS. Contact Steve McGuinness
73144,2412 if you need more info. He may not be in this forum yet,
but you should be able to reach him via email.
Debbie,
Sorry you're having the trouble. Brian Rudolph here is tracking callers with
these problems.
Normally in Product Support we use Microsoft mice for AAPro. However, when I
went a couple of days with a Summa III it was trouble free on my Compaq
486/33L. I just plugged it in and it went fine — sorry.
Perhaps if you sent your autoexec/config and any bat files you need to run Ani,
I could compare.
As far as a specific driver that "AA support" told you would be
included with the Summa, I guess you're referring to something like
SMOUSE.COM, to enable Microsoft mouse emulation. I am unaware of any
drivers for Animator. (There are ADI drivers, which are for 3DS or
AutoCAD though.) We include "Summa.idr" which gets installed with
AAPro.
