The Amiga IS different from the PC, but on the whole I think you'll find it
easier to work with.
Once you get yours I'd be interested in your experiences in going from one
to the other. I think as you start using the Amiga for video you'll find
your PC being relegated to other tasks (or shoved in a closet!).
