Hello, everyone!
I am the Director of Print & Visual Services for Milliken & Company, Interior
Furnishing and LaGrange Industrials Division (IF&LI). I've been promoting
multimedia within our company for the past few years and we are now embarking
on some sales applications. Of course, DTV will be an integral part of our
strategy, although we are currently limiting ourselves to 3D animations. I hope
to add video capture soon.
Which means I need a LOT of advice from other Forum members. Hope all of you
will chime in with your best thoughts over the next few weeks. I know many of
you have already clawed your way past the "hump" with this new technology, and
I hope you can help us avoid many of the problems you originally encountered.
Also, a friend of mine owns and runs a local LPTV station, and has just
purchased a used Aminga 2000/Toaster system. Of course, neither he nor his
staff have a clue about using it for video production. I may be posting quite a
few questions about the Amiga/Toaster. Again, I would appreciate your frank
comments and any help along the way.

Sid, perhaps you would be interested in creating interactive videos for
training purposes. Unilearn has created a way to make interactive videos VERY
quickly and with little to no authoring time or advanced degrees.

Recently the market has really been heating up based on the people I've demo'd
the product to. They can't wait to get their hands on it..

Hello there! I am a video producer who has worked in this field for some 30yrs
now. (I started as a very young child). Anyways I am up to speed on all this
stuff, including use of Avid, Toaster Flyer and a bit of Night Suite. I am
lokking to change gears again and get into Multi Media although I was involved
with a large project years ago that involved interactive technology using the
PC and NAPLPS technology. We also produced many videodisks to complement these
projects. After spending $40,000,000.00 (read million) of our clients money the
project was dropped. I think we were ahead of our time. Anyway I have been
involved in this field for a long time, and find it facinating the way it is
going. The only problem I have with it all is that it still takes someone with
a lot of creativety to come up with a good Multimedia program. I am here to
find out what's cookin! Regards Rick.
