#PS2 SCSI question

HELP!
I am trying to install an NEC CDR 74-1 using an IBM SCSI card that came
with the PS2 Model 90 XP486. I tried the generic ASPI driver but don't have a
driver for the card, so that failed. can anyone give me some guidance with this
problem? Thanks in advance
IBM SCSI cards are the only major cards that do not support the ASPI
standard but a proprietary IBM CAM driver. I believe the IBM will support the
CD ROM if you check, but you can't run ASPI driver packs or ASPI devices on
that card. Sorry. Everybody would like IBM to get with the rest of the world.
Thanks for the inforegaurding IBM SCummy cards. I knew I didn't like PS2's.
The PS2 is a fine computer. If you have an Adaptec, BusLogic, Future Domain,
etc. MCA SCSI card it'll work fine with an ASPI manager. It's IBM's own SCSI
card that's the problem, not the computer itself.

You will be unable to install using this configuration. This is because the
IBM cards do not have an ASPI interface for our software to communicate with.
Now for the good news. We have developed and are currently producing a Generic
IBM ASPI manager. This file is available in CorelSCSI version 2.0.
Try posting a message in our Customer Service section to determine what your
upgrade paths and options are.
