Hi,
I just bought an DEC3160S 1.6Gig disk drive and am trying to get it to work
with the LS2000 that I got with my Corel Blockbuster pack. I have made some
progress (like it knows there is a drive "F:" where the new drive is located)
but when I try to format or copy to it I get a "Drive not ready" message or
"Cannot format a network drive". Hmmmm.
Other things I have noticed:
1. Using the INSTALL program that came with the Corel package gives me a
list of drives, but none of the choices include the drive I have. In fact,
they all look like WORM drives.
2. I could not find any documentation on the CUNI_ASP.SYS or UNI_ASP.SYS
drivers.
3. The documentation for the ASPILS_D.SYS driver says to put in parms for
specifying the SCSI address as "/ID:0+1", but when I do the program
says they are invalid and the format is "/LS2000,D800,3" . Huh?
I guess that's enough of a set of questions to see if this mechanism really
works for getting answers. Thanks. Bob.

I'm sure that the sysop will forward your message, but for your
reference Corel SCSI is supported in Section 3 of the forum. Section
Leaders rarely travel between forums, but will get messages to them if

If you read the posted apology you will understand the tardiness of my
response.
The LS2000's bios or our drivers on their own can only support HD up to 1 GB!
The driver can support > 1 GB if you split the drive into multiple volumes, and
use the size switch.
On the UNI_ASP.SYS driver line try using the following switches. /VOL:x
/SIZE:y
values for x are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
values for y are 2,3,4,5,6
One of these combinations should work. Each time, try to format the drive. If
the drive is set for ID 0 or 1, but you are controlling it with the drivers,
ensure that the bios is disabled.
