Using CorelSCSI, V1.22 in DOS. When I attempt to restore selectively from tape to my drive, I get an "Error encountered attempting to allocate memory" message while it is scanning the drive. It will not let me do anything but a complete restore. Is there a workround? Using DOS 6.2, 386MAX version 7.0, and have 32 Mb. of RAM. About 550K left in low memory. Thanks, Barry

Barry, The tape software was designed to use conventional RAM only. With larger savesets, more memory is used to store and display files. The workaround is to copy the VOL and CAT files to the directory that our Windows tape software is loaded in. If you then use the Windows version of the software you will have access to all the XMS and memory won't be a problem. I hope this helps. Laszlo

The Windows version seems flakey at times. I can run a complete backup and verify and come up with errors. Exact same sequence from DOS produces no errors. I guess that I will have to hang on 'til 2.0. Eh? Barry
