#Corel Overseas
3 messages in this thread
Hi. I was referred to this forum section by another forum section's sysop.
Here's the story. A collegue of mine would like to obtain for a colleague of
hers, who lives and works in Zimbabwe, "optimizing software" for CorelSCSI. I
don't know SCSI from GRIMY, myself, and I don't know what this optimizing
software is. The two questions I have, are:
1) Would such software be something that Corel supplies for their equipment as
support (i.e., like a driver that you'all give out updated versions of when
availalbe), or is it some kind of more sophisticated application that should be
purchased somewhere?
and
2) My friend's friend can't get this software in Zimbabwe, which is probably
due to supply constraints, but I wonder if this is some kind of "technology"
that is not supposed to be mailed back and forth across national borders. In
other words, if this was simply a driver-like app that I could download or have
sent to my friend, could she then legally send this to a colleague overseas?
Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks for the information.

Hi Greg:
Corel sells SCSI software. In your message you use the phrase "optimizing
software for Corel SCSI" which leads me to believe it is a product separate and
apart from Corel SCSI software.
The CorelSCSI software package is priced at $99.00 U.S. and as there would not
be a distributor in that country, we would be able to ship it direct..
Whether Zimbabwe has restrictions on software, it would be up to the end-user
to do the research. Should they decide to order the package, I would have to
determine the shipping and handling charge to Zimbabwe. For International
orders, Corel accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and International
money orders in U.S, dollars.
I hope this helps you out!
