#HELP! Digitizing trubs!
4 messages in this thread
Howdy, gang…I'm in search of some help with digitizing.
I'm the semi-proud operator of a new desktop vid setup. 8100AV, Radius VVS, FWB
Sledgehammer 8G drive w/Jackhammer SCSI card. The AV has 40 megs RAM, and a 1G
drive.
Anyway, I'm experiencing crashes with Premiere when trying to capture clips any
more than about 10 seconds in length. The sound disappears, and then the whole
thing freezes up.
Any tips or suggestions on what I can do here to cure this?
So far, I'm happy with the output to tape of titles, photos, etc., but the
premature clip ejection syndrome is driving me a little nuts. 🙂
Thanks!
Adobe is supposedly on the verge of releasing Premiere 4.01, and this bug-fix
release is supposed to address many problems for the Power PC. I use Premiere
on an 8100/100 and regularly get crashes doing things that don't bother my
840AV at all. Let's hope Adobe tracks down all the bugs…

Hmm…maybe I'll give them a shout and see if they can offer any solutions.
Thanks for the update. 🙂

Good luck. Ever since Adobe and Aldus merged, it has been more difficult to get
straight answers. To their credit, it is a massive undertakling to merge to
lagre companies.
