we would like to write our own IPAS-Programs in C. Can you tell us what we need to do this? Are there any informations or examples available via CompuServe?

I think I can help since I just went through the same procedure. You will need the IPAS3 developers kit (which, I believe is still being written) which you can get through your Autodesk dealer. Then you will need a powerful C language compiler, either Metaware High C/C++ or Watcom C/C++. Everyone on the forum here suggests the Metaware – better compiler, and it supports 3DS debugging which for some reason Watcom doesn't. Now only these compilers work, because of extended DOS support – which is special. I'm not WHAT is special, but that's the info I have. Also, you will need the PHARLAP DOS extender. Although you really only need the linker, PHARLAP does not sell this apart from their Extender package. Canadian prices: $400 for the IPAS dev kit, $1000 for the Metaware compiler and $700 for extender. I think this is right but if I'm wrong, someone can jump in.
