#interesting coffee shops
3 messages in this thread
A client of mine is writing a book on coffee shops throughout the world. He is
looking for people to recommend coffee shops throughout the world that are
charming, picturesque, with great tasting coffee.
If you know of one that should be in the book about the "Worlds Greatest
Coffee", please reply with the name, address or at least the general locale.
Thanks in advance,

While it doesn't quite qualify as a coffe shop, the science camp on the
scenic shores of Lake Fryxell, Southern Victorialand, Antarctica is a
favorite stopping point for helicopters. Hot gourmet coffee from San
Francisco served up with a smile by friendly marine biologists from Woods
Hole Oceanographic Institute.
'course, for Tea and Scones, you gotta go to the Kiwi camp at Lake Vanda.
You can also swim there, though you won't enjoy it much. <g>

PJ's Coffee in New Orleans stands above the rest. Phyllis has a great tasting
coffee and in several locations. One of my favorites is in Downtown New
Orleans in the Central Business District (CBD). In the back courtyard (as in
the Magazine St. location) you can sit among banana trees as sip excellent
coffee. Of course, if you were on Magazine Street, it would be a perfect break
while checking out the antique shops the street is famous for.
I assume this entitles me to a copy of the book <grin>.
