#HELP – Config Ani Pro
6 messages in this thread
Hello,
A friend has loaned me Ani Pro so I can use it, before buying it from him –
just to make sure. It's version 1.3. I have a Diamond Viper VLB (P9000) video
accelerator. But I can't figure out how to configure Ani Pro to SuperVGA. Can
anyone help?
Thanks James
Just run the <vprmode vesa> driver, James, and AAP should be fine.

Greetings James
Besides running the vprmode vesa driver, in your autoexec.bat make sure you
"rem" the vpr bios, Animator Pro doesn't like it.

What do you mean by "rem the vpr bios", Barry? AAP has no problems with my
system and I don't "rem" anything. However, I DO exclude (using QEMM) the
memory address used by the Viper, A000-C7FF. AAP "likes" the Viper bios just
fine.

It so happens that when I leave the C:\VIPER\VPRBIOS line in my autoexec.bat
Ani Pro will not load the VESA driver, but when I type rem at the front of that
line and reboot, ANI PRO loads, what can I say, it works for me.

Thanks Barry,
I'm not at my regular workstation (big time crash – long story) so I
can't check to see about 'vrp bios', but I can't remember off hand
what that would be. In autoexec.bat I think all I have is path
checks. Viper runs an .ini file when it is called into play…
Although I could be wrong… <g>
