#Amiga Voyager ?
7 messages in this thread
Hi Everyone !
Have you seen Star Trek Voyager ?
Does the "Voyager" look familiar ?
Is it me, or does the "Voyager" seem "squid like"
kind of like it was modeled after the "Sea Quest" sub?
What do you think?
I was wondering if Amblin was doing the special effects,
and if so, on Lightwave ?
BTW, I think the effects look great!!!
Hope it's on an Amiga!

Michael:
I'm pretty sure that the guys at Amblin did not design the Voyager, but I
belive that they did do a bit of work on it. Try directing your message to John
Gross or Grant Boucher. They have been frustratingly quiet about what they did.
I just hope that means their very busy…

Frustratingly quiet about what they did? hmmmpf
There are multi-page postings in AmigaArts on the pilot of initial
episodes clearly detailing every shot :}

Michael,
There has been a great discussion under the subject heading of "Amiga & Other
Multimedia" in the Amiga Arts/Multimedia section about "ST:Voyager". Grant
Boucher has participated in the discussion, describing scenes where LightWave
and models were used.

John Chang
Thanks for the info John !
I'm heading over at warp speed !

I do too, especially the singularity effect (it takes talent to model a place
that doesn't exist :). Some of them are done on the Amiga, I dunno which.
