I have some GIF files that I would like to cycle the pallete on and use as animated texture maps.(Created in FRACINT) Is there a utility that will create a color cycled 256 frame FLC from a single GIF? Or is there a utility that will produce 256 GIF's/TGA's/Whatever's from a single GIF w/ the color palette rotated 1 step each time? I can think of several ways to do this but the only one my programming skills will allow is the manual method…rotate..save…rotate….save… Any ideas?

If your have Animator Pro, you can load in the gif, make your flc total 256 frames, select your entire palette as a cluster, turn on the time button, right click the cycle button and render over the whole flic.

No problem. Ask away if you have any more questions when you get Ani Pro.

The reply re: using animator pro to cycle your colors is the way to go. I did something similar with a diffuse fractal from fractint. I cycled the colors with Animator Pro to create an animated texture map and got spectacular results. I find fractint to be a n extremely useful tool as a companion to 3ds and APro.
