Hello. I am a student at the University of San Francisco majoring in ISM. I am working on a research project involving VR and I need to participate in a demonstration of a Virtual Reality system. The demonstration needs to provide a very advanced, immersive environment. Confidentiality can be assured from myself and the University if necessary. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

What are you looking for Jeffrey? Autodesk sells a C++ library called the CDK, Cyberspace Developer Kit, which allows you to create your own virtual worlds by being able to create and import geometries from ACAD, 3D Studio, AME, and Hyperchem. It comes with uncompiled examples and tutorials.

If you are doing a research project on VR then your research should lead you to several possibilities in the Bay Area. Calling a couple of these places should get you on the road to a demo. Sense8 – Sausalito, CA (Tom Coull or Ken Pimentel) Virtual Technologies – Palo Alto – Alan Boronkay Fakespace – Menlo Park – Paul Corning StereoGraphics – San Rafael – 415-459-4500 – Nancy Clemens or amy Mar Virtual Research – Santa Clara – Evan Yeaman There are several others in the bay area Good luck, Terence
