Ed, Thanks for reminding me about SD0:; It has been in my mountlist for some years now, I just stopped using the recoverable ram disk. I used Perry K's ASDG ram disk when he first started shipping it, then I removed it after I got a nice large hard drive. (Ha! large IS a relative term isn't it. 100MB then was large, now I wouldn't even a recommend that size for starters.) Tnx again for the reply, Christopher

Christopher- I missed the beginning of this thread. Do recoverable RAM disks cause some kind of serial problems? Or only StatRAM? Paul (aka Mr. Zombie)

Paul, No the recoverable ram-disk has nothing to do with my serial problem. It is the GVP SeriesII card that has a problem with 14.4bps. I keep losing the connection or the computer just freezes up after the call drops. Most of the time with AP, but that is all I use to access CIS. Sometimes, Backtalk, and now Term 4.2 does it. Something to do with DMA I think. Wish I knew of a good workaround. I do use GVPpatch for the serial port. But that doesn't seem to be helping. Your thoughts are appreciated, Chris

Oh, sorry about that Chris – no thoughts here, just confusion. 🙁 Paul (aka Mr. Zombie)
