Does anyone else have problems downloading from CIS? I'm usually getting slow downloads, no matter how fast it starts, my cps gets slower and slow and slower. I have an A-500 with a 40mhz 030, 5 meg of ram, hard drive, and a 14.4 modem. I use Ncomm 2.0. I dont use AP, because I use WB 1.3. I also use quick B as my proto. any suggestions,(other than upgrading my OS), will be appreciated. I know I should upgrade, and I will, but not right now thank you.

Joe, Try a different comm program…we have several here in the libraries. Also, if you can, download to RAM: rather than your HD. Don

Joe, I had a similar problem which was basically caused by the hard drive becoming fragmented and short of space. Once the drive was de-fragmented using Quarterback Tools, the transfer speed was OK. Downloading to RAM: instead of the hard drive should also help. Alan (Via Autopilot,Gloucestershire,UK)
