I just purchased a NEC MultiSpin 3Xi CD-ROM drive. Now I need drivers for it. I am considering the ASIM CDR file system, but I need to be sure, that it will work with my old C Ltd SCSI-controller on my A1000. I just added SCSI-direct support to the C Ltd driver, so if that is the only thing the ASIM software requires, then it should be fine. Can anybody confirm this assumption ? Any comments on the wisdom of choosing the ASIM CDR is also welcomed. Regards, J0RGEN ….from DENMARK

Before purchasing a commercial driver, you should download and test AMICD.LHA from the library here.

Jorgen, have you tried the CD-ROM driver in the libraries here? I'm not sure of the exact name (still rebuilding catalogs after a crash) but it's priced right <g>. Brian bjbart@watserv.ucr.edu
