I'm in the process of putting together a video production suite. I
have been getting alot of advice from many people in the industry.
Below is my equipment list that I have developed. I'm asking the net
to review the list and give me any pointers pro and con concerning
the equipment listing. Thanks.

Well, there you have it. Your comments and suggestions will be appreciated.
If you drop Pixel 3D 3.0 for InterChange Plus you would be 100% in my
book. A 15" monitor instead of a 17" is a stretch though. Nanao is
the critter if you're looking for top dog.
Thanks for the input. Can you tell me some more about the
Interchange Plus? Is it as easy to learn and functional as Pixel 3D?
Sounds like a pretty sweet suite. I notice a possible problem. The
screamer requires Ethernet (from what I hear) and you don't have that
adaptor listed for the toaster. You will also find that the 4000
does not have enough slots for the YC+ card (could use YC++
external), SCSI card, SR16 card(cound use TAO Editizer Mixer & 16 bit
Sound card w/PC), Etherner card and Toaster card. Only the SCSI,
Ethernet & Toaster cards will fit in the 4000 before it is full.
I just included ideas for alternatives in () these are not your only
choices by far. (No flames please)
If Lightwave is something you would like to use regularly and you have
found a way to get around the slot problem, you might also look at
getting a Personal Animation Recorder. You might also concider geting
a 2.4 GB SCSI drive (You can never have enough storage). You might
also look at getting a memory expansion card and add another 32Mb of
RAM (If you plan to do any really complex 3D stuff, and if you get a
screamer you will).
Memory is also at a premium right now, so if you can hold off, buy as
little memory as required now and get the rest in six months. (512Mb
for the Screamer? Sounds kinda high with only 18MB in the toaster to
build scenes in)

I plan to put a 150 MB Iomega Bernoulli boxes on the IBM, Amiga and Screamer.
So I don't think I'll need the Ethernet card.
You're right how everything take more memory, so I'm upgrading the 1.2 GB
drive to 2.4 GB drive if the
specs are close to ok.
I had planned to acquire all of this equipment by January but just got a
bombshell. It seems that the amount
of Zorro slots on the 4000 is less than adequate to provide the expansion
needed for my purposes. The
remedy for this was to go with a 3000T unit. This was acceptable at the time
and we projected purchase of
the unit in the next 30 days.
Now I'm being told there isn't a new 3000T to be had. The only option
available now is to wait for the soon-
to-be-released 4000T. I'm not holding my breath!! In the meantime I'll be able
to shoot lots of video but will
have to wait to edit it.
By the way I'm located in the Aloha State, Hawaii.

You will need an ethernet board in your Amiga to talk to the Screamer.

I would get better wireless mics than the Azden if I were you. The Azdens work
really great….sometimes. But when they don't work, they are horrible. I moved
up to the Samson set with the TX-3 transmitter and the MR-1 camera mounted
receiver. If you have A/C power, get the diversity receiver instead (SR-22 ???
may be the model number).

ps.. Nady just came out with some units priced between the Azden and the
Samson, but I've never used them and I don't think you can get a diversity
receiver in this price range.
