Is there a way to import PAR images, as individual iff's, into ProControl? I have ver 1.04 ProControl. I know the latest version of PAR 2.28 software will let you do that into other 24bit programs but I can't get it to work in ProControl. I have made sure it is setup correctly in the PAR (export iffs) but have been unable to have ProControl load the frames. I know I am not doing something but what is it??? ideas?? thx jmb

I am afraid that you will not be able to use the PAR via ProControl. ProControl has not been updated to be compatible with any of ADPro 2.5.0s NEW features although it will still work with old ones. Chris Edgin ERI Tech.

John, it will work with pictures in 24 bit IFF and PAR format, I tried it and it does indeed work. I don't have PROControl (which after seeing I am going to buy) but a friend does and it read the files from DDR: and converted them to 256 color IFFs. What is it you are trying to do? Jim R. Jim, What I want it to do is import the images as iff's directly from the anim on the DDR:. I have the export mode set to iff but it won't pull them in a frame at a time. If I had to I could bust up the anim and export out to a hd as iff's and then import and compile. I just thought with the new PAR software 2.28 that allows you to take individual frames into a 24bit program to perform rotoscoping that I would be able to do it to ProControl. PAR 2.28, ADPro 2.5, VT 3.1, T4000. How does your friend accomplish this? I always get an error msg. thx jmb

Ah, that is the difference! He is not importing anims from the PAR, just batching stills. He tried a PAR anim and PROControl just quits. It would be nice it ASDG upgraded the modules to batch a PAR anim. I guess we'll just have to wait. Jim R. Ollick Using AP from Bergenfield, NJ

Theres the rub. Guess I'll just have to break them down to individual images…not a major job but was looking for the easy way out.<G> thx jmb

That is entirely up to the Procontrol programmer. Procontrol is not actually made by ERI, we just distibute it. Chris Edgin ERI Tech.

Unfortunately, programming is not the Procontol author's day job but we have let him know that a ProControl upgrade would be welcomed. Chris Edgin ERI Tech.
