I am framegrabbing–live video– for a highlighted ending to a wedding video.
What would make the 2 field grab look like it is pixelized or streaked–almost
dirty. I have an Amiga/toaster 2000 with the 3.1 software–has anyone else
experienced this? (I am not having any other problems with my setup)

The 2-field grab simply grabs half the picture information of the 4-field grab,
which has a lot less detail and quality. Its advantage, which is probably why
you're using it, is that you can grab something with more motion to it without
getting the jitter.
You might try grabbing it as 4-field, then using motion removal…
