Yea, I checked it… the spelling is right in 3ds.set. But the rendering still hangs and I have to reboot. Colin at Matrox tech support thinks there may be changes to 3D Studio Release 4 that are different enough than R3 to cause problems. I have the latest drivers from Matrox. Also please tell me I'm not going to have this problem with the Truevision Targa 2000 card that I have ordered for my Pentium 90 Eisa machine. I gather that the Truevision series of cards are more widely in use and I hope they install easier! I already have some projects rendered and done using the Vibrant drivers but they are stuck on the hard disk until I can send then to the VTR. Got any suggestions? I'm open to anything at this point.

<<Colin at Matrox tech support thinks there may be changes to 3D Studio Release 4 that are different enough than R3 to cause problems. I have the latest drivers from Matrox.>> We are successfully running a Matrox Ill Pro here in Product support, so I know the drivers work with R4. -Brian

Thanks for the help Brian. I have a call into Colin already. Could you give me the exact software setup you have in 3ds.set and any other tweakes that you have done. Also, did you get the VGA pass through to work? I am going to download the latest Matrox drive shortly. Thanks

<<Could you give me the exact software setup you have in 3ds.set and any other tweakes that you have done>> Well, this is on an AST 486. No tweaking was nesessary, except for adding CALLBUFS to the phar lap switches. Never tried the VGA pass through. -BRian
