Wow…Thank you…
I just sent a message about PR, open my next message (called copyright) and ..
all I can say is THANK YOU.
As for the letter that I was writing when we met… It was, more or
less, an introduction, which, under the circumstances, was no longer
necessary. So I trashed it (I know you said "POST THE SUCKER"… but
so it goes) I am not completely unaware of the ways of the world,
(although sometimes I think I'd like to be). I have been involved in
the amateur publishing business on and off since 1979 (more off than
on…) and I played in a rock band for awhile (They stole some of my
songs when we parted ways, now they're fairly big (or at least they
were for a few years, I've lost touch with them ). I am now in a bit
of a dilemma, I am going to do this newsletter project one way or
another but I just don't have the energy or desire to fight the forces
of evil that lurk just under the surface in this industry. I, hope,
of course, that I don't end up getting burnt, but my biggest concern
is that anyone who helps me or contributes doesn't live to regret it
in the long run. It is quite possible that if 3D/XP becomes some kind
of success, that it will be just ripped from my hands by the vultures
that you seem to know and fear and that we both know are constantly
circling. But all I can do is my best and that it shall be. I would
be glad to discuss with you any suggestions you might have in regards
to protecting myself (and 3D/XP) from the doom that awaits. Thanks
again, your input is very much appreciated.

Mr. Camp, This concidence thing is … wait a minute… do you
subscribe to Mrs. Do You Know The Way To San Jose's 1-900 Number?
Are you, too, plugged into the universal mind? <G> <—Means I'm
kiddin'
Dave, I'm sorry I sounded like a doomsday monster. I certainly don't
want to discourage your efforts. I'd just hate to see someone so
filled with enthusiasm and optimism taken advantage of.
I maintain that this industry is extremely competitive. You are
positioning yourself as an information broker. My concern is that in
my life I have been manipulated and otherwise victimized when I found
myself in a similar situation. I wouldn't want you to succumb to the
same fate.
You say:
< I played in a rock band for awhile >
< (They stole some of my songs when we parted ways, now they're fairly big >
It would seem that you HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCED!
Let's keep in touch both here on the board and by E-Mail as necessary
and brainstorm a little on how to protect yourself and your
contributors and how to get the word out about 3D/XP.
Much success!

I wish I could count, on my fingers and toes, the amount of times I've be
burnt in my life. But I try to keep a "Happy Face" as much as possible. If I
let myself get too jaded then the bastards would have won (as far as I'm
concerned, anyway)
So no matter what might happen, I will continue on. The best thing I can do is
to try to use the knowledge that you and a few other selfless souls have shared
with me to try to protect myself from the powers that be.
I am looking forward to brainstorming with you, (it may even be a
brain-hurricane, who knows where it will lead.
Thanks again
