I am looking for a VIDEO to MPEG compression hardware with the
following characteristics:
1) allow MPEG compressed output to be read by user written software
through an API for further processing (no need to store MPEG output
to disk, but software needs to send it through communication
interfaces).
2) allow control of resolution and compression rate by user written
software via API
Basically, I need a HW MPEG compression hardware that can be
interfaced to via API to read the compressed data.
Does anyone know such a board?
Matrox had a wonderful display of MPEG hardware at SIGGRAPH this year.
You may want to GO GRVENB and check out the Matrox section (#16),
also posting a question to them for further, detailed assistance.
