I'm just starting to do animations in StrataVison #D on my powermac>
Thew system file on the computer only has a single portion of the
quicktime extension.
Where can I download the latest version of Quicktime and all of the
other associated files ( I read somewhere about something called
movie player, etc….).

Hi John.
We just start working with StrataStudioPro on a powermac 7100. What's Your
experience with the performance of that constelation? we have big problems by
waiting for every litte step for minutes. Even very simple operations like
moving sliders cause serious delays. What's to do? Thanx for Your reply . . .

Well, Robert,
Your question was put to the greenest of the green. I'm an architect who has
taken a wild hair to become a master of animation. So far, I've managed to make
2 short five section animaitons which parallel the tutorials in the manual of
StratVision 3D, the volkswagen version of StudioPro. Also, this work was done
on a PM 6100/16 megs of ram, so there is a little difference in speed as well.
My curiosity about Quicktime stems from a desire to make the digital products
of my work as universally portable and playable as possible. From what little
reading I've done, the Quicktime format carries onto the Windows platform with
little or no problem. Have you found this to be a fact or a wish of the future?
Also, are products in the process of remmaining digital instead of going to
video-tape? I presume the answer stems partly from the intended user, but gains
in storage and compression technologies may be prominent factors as well.
To answer your question, I don't know. I haven't imported anything and
have not produced anything where there has been a substantial period
of grinding done by the computer. But my guess is that it increases
substantially when complex operations are designed and executed.
