#Video Animations on PC

Hello,
Does anyone know if there exists a "Video Animation" player for viewing AVI
files.
If one exists, is it public domain? Can you add sounds to it also ? Thanks

Windows plays AVI files. If you dont have Video For Windows, look to
Microsoft. VFW11.??? is available here somewhere, probably in WINMM. For sure
its here on CIS, and its free. Now the challenge: make it work right.

It exists, and since AVI is Audio and Video, sounds are built right
in. What kind of computer do you have?

there is one. Check out Graphsupport Forum for animation payers. There should
be the latest Video for Windows drivers. I'm sure you can also find them in
MSLIB.

Hi Ed,
Take a look in the libraries here. (Try a keyword search using "Video
for Windows" or "Quicktime" or whatever format you want to play). I
just DL'd Playit v. 1.51 the other day and it works fine as far as I
can tell. I've also used Vidvue 3.1… it lets you capture frames
from movies, among other things (like playing them also). Both are
shareware. I havn't seen anything that lets you add sound to
movies… doesn't mean there isn't anything. (Of course commercial
packages like Premiere and Director can do this easily)
