I'd like to get some info concerning constructing satalite and radar
loops like on TV. I currently am using .GIF images from Compuserve
weather, converting them into .BMP images, then using a program
called "Take One" which creates a .ANS file which loops the images
together.It's not too bad but there is room for improvement. Maybe
creating a .FLI or .AVI file. I'm very interested but in need for
some direction…

Daves Targa Animator is a popular shareware program that will allow
you to paste together images to produce an FLI. (I don't remember if
it does .GIFs, tho….)

Thanks…DTA worked OK but…I converted 6 .GIF weather satalite images from
Compuserve to the .TGA format using Paint Shop Pro and (sic) not enough memory.
So I converted back to .GIF and the program worked but I noticed some major
color differences within each image…also I'm not too hip with a command
line…The program "Take One Animator" works great but it only can use .BMP
images and creates a .ANS file..and it limits the size of the animation to the
actual size of each image..

if you get Daves Targa Animator & Piclab (both shareware ) you can use Piclab
to convert gifs to tgas & DTA to make a series of tgas into a FLI
