greg,
The video bios version of my CIRRUS card is BIOS version 1.20, and the VESA
sUPPORT IS installed , the VESA version is 1.02. Imagine render OK in 320×200
or in quarter screen, but in 640×480 I still have the same problem, just like
i'm looking at a hight resolution picture on a low resolution set and only get
part of the picture. May be I should try a different video card? I am not sure
of what you mean by Universal vesa driver and how to access it? thank's
Alan,
Hi Alain, PMFJI, but I _might_ be able to help you…
I've got a "generic" VESA card based on the Cirrus chipset and had all sorts of
problems with the drivers that came with it. I found updated drivers (v 1.43 I
believe) for cards with the Cirrus GD5426/5428 chip at GO WUGNET / lib 14 (WUG
driver support) / 5426_W.ZIP. The new drivers solved %100 of my problems, as
far as I can tell.
Hope this helps,
Philip Shenk
Phil,
what is the date of the drivers in WUGNET? Just don't want to d/l it only to
find out that I already have them.

David,
>>>what is the date of the drivers in WUGNET?
To tell you the truth, I don't know. The file summary in the library will tell
you when it was UL'd though. Version is 1.43 if that helps.
Philip
Would you mind taking a look in your \windows\system directory and tell me the
date fo the file "64k_800.drv"? Mine is 19.03.93. Do you have a newer one?
